Should motorsports be in the Olympics?
Motorsports have been a topic of debate in regards to whether it should or should not be included in the Olympic Games. Proponents of its inclusion argue that motorsports is a highly competitive sport, with immense popularity and viewership, with the potential to add much to the Olympic Games. Opponents, however, argue that motorsports is not a sport, and that its inclusion would detract from the Olympic spirit and atmosphere. Despite this ongoing debate, motorsports has yet to become an official event in the Olympic Games.
